Topshop + Kate Moss

And yes, yet another cool collaboration – Topshop and of cause Kate Moss. Already in September this grunge inspired collection will be available in all of Topshop stores. There is plenty of this season trends such as silk and wool knitted dresses, leather pencil skirts, sequin playsuits or that amazing long leather coat and many more.

I personally find that her collections just look right when I mix her pieces and great seasonal designer investments like Burberry bag or McQueen scarf.

Looking at this collection my picks would be: flame mesh halter black dress (~110$), sequin gray waterfall vest (~70$), military style cardigan (~100$),  jeweled jacket (~240$).

Pierre Hardy for GAP

Pierre Hardy for Gap 2009

I’m glad to announce yet another collaboration of the French shoes (and bags) designer, Pierre Hardy and American clothing line, Gap. With the successful previous collections in mind I have great expectations. This time, we are expecting suede ankle boots with high heels and platform. There will be slight variations of the main theme: diverse colors and slightly different models. I think these shoes will be good addition to my fall wardrobe! The collection will  be available in mid September in Gap stores across the globe.

Polaroid is back!

Polaroid

When I found out that Polaroid factory was closed for good in 2008, I had been depressed for months. The entire concept of instant photos is amazing and so appealing to me – 5 seconds and the photo is ready! Ok, you would say that with today’s super small digital cameras and compatible printers there shouldn’t be people who regret the fermeture of Polaroid. So, until this morning I thought that I was the only person in the world who dreamed about reinvention or possible rebirth of instant photography, oh better say, a device that will do both: take a picture and print it. To my grandiose surprise I have learned this morning that ex-workers at Polaroid finally decided to buy over all the equipment at the old factories and get back Polaroid on the market by 2010! They call it THE IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT -what a great idea!

Polaroid The Impossible Project

Another good news is that while we are waiting for 2010 to arrive, THE IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT collaborate with Urban Outfitters to retail over 700 Polaroid kits coming from the sold factory stocks. Every kit is numerated by hand and consists of a vintage Polaroid camera (One600 Classic model) amd one refill paper. You can purchase it at Urban Outfitters selected stores on August 21st and in all the rest of the stores on August 28th across Canada and USA.

3 in 1 Boots: Object of desire

Louis Vuitton Seduction boots Fall '09

As many of us have not yet recovered from the economical crisis but still want to follow the latest trends in fashion, luxury brands don’t stop to surprise us with their innovative ways to save money. This time it’s Louis Vuitton which launches this fall its Seduction boots collection. LV offers its customers to purchase one pair of footwear instead of three using the concept of  “3 in 1″. Well, first of all it’s this season’s hot knee-high boots, then they easily transform into classical  boots, all you have to do is to unzip their upper part. And by doing so the second time, you will get the third variation on the theme – trendy ankle boots. There are several versions of Seduction boots available: leather or suede, high heels or flats. In addition, on the outer side of these boots there is a small pocket which can substitute for a clutch or wallet if needed! I think there are enough reasons why these boots are on my fall shopping list! So harry up and get yourself a pair of transformers!

True LOVE

When I think about Pamela Love, the first things that comes to my mind are Zac Posen’s runway jewelry for fall ‘09 and Marchesa spring-summer ‘09 collection. However apparently this New York jewelry designer is known mostly because True Blood’s (did not even know about the existence of this TV show before) character, Eric has Eagle Claw Necklace from Love’s collection.  Pamela Love Necklace True Blood

Now I know that this show is about vampires what makes Pamela Love the perfect choice in accessorizing True Blood’s wardrobe. Her silver, gold and interestingly brass creations which primary consist of claws, bones, craniums, organs are dark, macabre and at times bloodcurdling, so it’s not surprising that TV vampires wear them.

Looking at Love’s designs I am particularly attracted to heart pendant, bird skull necklace and of cause bird talon bracelet.

However I can not forget about the amazing job she has done for Posen’s fall ‘09 collection. The rock’n'roll hairbands and sward earrings are all to be spotted this fall.

Object of desire

Panthère de Cartier is the latest collection that underlines house’s luxury status and creates objects of desire for many people. I think that all of the creations are just stunning: rings, bracelets, earrings and brooches. However the thing that captured my attention is this pathere necklace!

Panthere de Cartier

If one I had a chance to put my hand on this piece of art, I’d wear it 24/7 with my white shirt and bloody red lipstick! Or maybe I’d better say that it will shine through anything what you wear. It’s made out of 18-carat gold with diamonds and onyx.  But at this time I must say that it’s only my dream to own a Panthère like this one in my jewelry  box!

Penhaligon’s

Penhaligon's boutique

Penhaligon’s is a perfume house established in 1870 in England. I heard a lot about the fresh scent, Bluebell but never had a chance to experience it myself. I usually don’t write about things that I haven’t seen, touched, tried, worn or used. All this to say that on the official Penhaligon’s website anyone can request a catalogue which apparently arrives in couple of days, so I requested it maybe 4 days ago. Now I am waiting for it to come… hopefully this catalogue will convince me to purchase one of their fragrances ( they do international delivery which includes Canada, USA and Europe).

Coral Blast

Coral Flower Earrings www.mydrfashion.com

I saw this kind of earrings in a shop’s window in Paris! I loved them so much but they were a little too pricey (over 100 euros)  for a pair of silver studs. So I decided to consider other alternatives, the first thing that struck my mind was…ebay! And so, I started my search, I was surprised that there was not huge variety, I’d rather say that I was lucky to find this silver earrings made from the real pink (slightly reddish) coral for only 0.99$. For my surprise, this kind of earrings were (and may be still are) pretty popular among ebayers, and I lost 3 auctions prior to my triumphant win! And yes, the shipping was free, hence the price was 0.99$ plus 2$ insurance, 2.99$ for the earrings that coasted over 100euros in Paris! What a difference! The shipping was on time, the earrings are beautiful and what a surprise (I’m trying to count how many times I used this word in this post) I got a gift – a pair of pearl studs!

May be shopping on ebay is not that bad as I thought it was and I shouldn’t be so skeptical after all.

Goth Planet

Lydia-Courteille-Bestiaire

Lydia Courteille  is the French fine jewelry designer. What I love about her creations and is, in fact, one of the most well defined trends this fall is her way of interpreting modern Goth trends. No, she doesn’t limit herself to the skull and bones theme but rather explores the feminine side of Gothic tendency.  While using unique material such as black rhodium gold she still manages to make her designs refined and exotic.

Earring, bracelets, rings are all decorated as monkeys, frogs, bats, scorpions, lizards, fishes and insects which are neighboring with rubies, black diamonds, corals, rock crystals, onyx, green garnets and citrines.

Cavalli Card

cavalli-card  A credit card is the least fashionable thing in you wallet?

No problem,  Mr Cavalli decided to design his own version master card! It’s available from Cavalli stores around the globe since March 1st, 2009. The holders of this card have some very interesting  benefits: “dedicated VIP services at Cavalli boutiques and access to special sales, events and shows, plus exclusive beauty, hospitality and travel offers” according to the Vogue magazine at vogue.com. You can also find (on youtube for example) the short clip that features Mila Jovovich and the designer himself advertising this collaboration.
