Men in Fashion: London Fashion Week 2010.
I decided to start a new section to my blog dedicated to men fashion trends. Unfortunately, fashion industry idealizes women but pays little to no attention to men. However, at time to time there are those statement man looks spotted at fashion shows that were just meant to be viewed and loved.
So, here is the very first such a look, by J.W. Anderson:
Can your boyfriend pull the left look off?
PS: note those super chic rose flowers on the boots.
London Fashion Week 2010
London Fashion Week is now over, all we have left are the pictures of beautiful clothes from many of talented designers. I can’t say that there was that particular show which presented the best pieces however I feel like I have that mixed impression – it’s the combination that impresses me. I like that most of designer creations are wearable and workable with some last season basics.
This is the piece which left me with that urge to run into the nearest store to grab that ensemble (on the right) by Mary Katrantzou:
Meadham Kirchhoff’s collection left the brightest impression in my mind – those brides with black shawls and black crowns are just so cool!
TOUS ceux qu’il faut…
The Spanish jewelry brand TOUS has some quirky bracelet choices. Usually this brand offers a huge variety of cute bear earrings and necklaces which are not really my style. But this time I actually found pretty cool, awsome, amazing bracelets! I consider buying them some time in future – living in Montreal gives you lots of problems with purchasing things I like. What I want to say is that it’s extremely hard to find things that I like and that are being sold/being shipped here in Canada. The problem with TOUS is different – they have quite big store in downtown but everything I like, i.e. those two bracelets are not in their stock and there is no way they can order them for me! And it’s disappointing! Now I have to go either to NYC or to Europe and get the bracelets there. Why is it so hard to live here in Montreal?

Russian Fashion: Denis Simachev.
I have mentioned Denis Simachev, Russian it-designer of the moment just recently. Now you can see his creations worn during the NY fashion week 2010 by Miroslava Duma. I think this coats is gorgeous and screams Simachev and Russia! I would definitely grab something from his stores the next time I am in Moscow!
