Fashion for Less: Erickson Beamon vs Forever21.
Ethnic inspired earrings are great for summer. They are essential while on the beach or just out in the country with friends. The earrings in the center (1), Erickson Beamon, are the best in its kind – not so African, not so Indian, but rather the great mix of both. The only bad thing about them is that they are astonishing $515 on net-a-porter! (imagine loosing them in the ocean or on the beach while playing volley!) So I thought why not to put together a list (inspired by Erickson Beamon piece) of similar styled earrings, all from Forever21 and all under $7! (I thing it’s not that bad to loose one of those – you can always quickly replace them without any damage to your budget)

Teletype: Moises de la Renta for Mango t-shirts Sale.
Good news for those who are on the search for the summer’s hot t-shirts – Mango is having a sale and the exclusive t-shirts designed by Moises de la Renta (son of famous Oscar de la Renta) are up to 50% off the original price! It seems to me that most of the styles from that mini collection are still in stock, however I must say that the one that I like the most (the gray tie-dye one) is sold out…but nevertheless there are still all the other choices for great prices -from $39.99 to $24.99! Good Luck
Topshop Top 5 rings Summer 2010.
And here is my Top 5 selection of Topshop’s summer 2010 rings! All of the rings are under $25 – so you can buy all of them and still have money left to add to your Proenza Schouler PS1 savings.
Proenza Schouler vs Topshop
I am sure that most of you have already started putting aside money for your future gorgeous Proenza Schouler’s PS1 bag. If you CAN resist the temptation (and not get deeply in debts right away) but want to find that cute little (and more affordable) replacement while you are saving enough money – you can get one of the Topshop’s leather satchels. They are relatively cheap (compare Topshop’s $100 and the cheapest version of PS1 found on net-a-porter is stunning $1,595) but still look great.
My personal favorite is the one of the right!
PS: I am in that summer Topshop obsession phase, so stay tuned for the Topshop Top 5 summer rings.
Fall 2010 looks
The summer has been here officially for only couple of days but we already dig deep into fall/winter lookbooks. I must say that some of the looks are very tempting and are on top of my wishlist for this fall!
Here are my personal favorites so far, first one is by (as usual for many years) Benetton. I am not sure about the materials but I definitely like the shapes of this gray skirt and the amazing beige faux-fur jacket. In terms of color, it’s mostly black, beige and brown of different shades.
The second one is surprisingly by DKNY. Vibrant colors and combinations of various textures make this lookbook one of the best in the mass market field. The other two things on my wishlist are the blue silky harem pants and that cute little black skirt with lots of ruffles.
Gap version of Espadrilles
I think I found yet another perfect pair of summer flat espadrilles. Think of these ones as alternative (and cheaper) version of Toms! They are equally nice and fresh! Well done Gap!
Now, I have to hope that I will find them in Gap store, here in Florida!
Wish me luck!
Pierre Hardy for Gap Spring 2010
This is one of four Pierre Hardy creations designed in collaboration with Gap. The shoes will be available starting May 10th, prices will range from $65 to $100 for a pair. Can’t definitely say that I love them but nude colors are in and it’s Pierre Hardy for less than $100 after all!
PS: those are the other 3 models.
Zara, here I come!
Can’t wait to get my hands on this pretty cool Miu Miu inspired dress by Zara! I hope I will like it in store as much as I like it on Internet!
I choose Toms and not ballerinas!
It’s finally feels like summer here in Montreal…so I am desperately in need of another great summer pair of shoes, no I don’t mean sandals – I have plenty of those on my shelves, but rather really summery flats. Last year I got my pretty red moccasins(and hell, they costed me a fortune) in Moscow, I’ve been wearing them almost non-stop last fall so their leather soles got worn out quite a bit, so I have to repair them…meanwhile I need some cheap and comfy replacements. And I think I found the perfect light shoes – Toms shoes. Hey, they are everything I was looking for – airy, comfy and cheap! It seems to me that the plain old ballerinas are so out this season, that we need to invest in something less glamorous and more practical!
Sonia Rykiel for H&M yet again!
Yes, I am not joking! There will be yet another collection for H&M, this time it’s a summery collection which will launch in June.
Bisou…
