Gap + Denim 2010
Blue denim is kinda huge right now and it’s all over the place: H&M, Zara, Mango. But the only place where you can find the perfect biker denim jacket is at Gap. Yes, i is perfect and, yes, it is blue! I will run tomorrow to the nearest store and steal one of those!
PS: I will probably add some studs to it, so it’s not that basic. And almost forgot – it’s only $70! Great deal!
Sonia Rykiel for H&M
I was the first in line last morning to get my hands on this year’s first H&M designer collaboration! I’ve always liked Sonia Rykiel’s bright stripy sweaters and freakishly cool brooches! The first time, I have 3 sweaters and 3 brooches (and I say the first because there was the second time when my mam dragged me into another H&M store and talked into buying yet another 3 items: black narrow skirt, black pants and a scarf). If you were not able to get the brooches yourself, you can buy it on ebay:
Sonia Rykiel for H&M
This item comes with a rare cool Sonia Rykiel bonus notebook, which is a cool find for those of you who needs to keep track of all the fashionable things you need to buy in future as the Paris Fashion Week approaches!
I will gradually post pictures of me wearing those by the way super high quality things I got yesterday!
Cheers!

Toywatch gone Timex
I have couple of minutes on my hands until I party hard tonight, so I decided that I have to post this one this year and leave/save the job of picking up the 2009 highlights for the 2010!
It’s been 5 months since the last time I wore handwatch. Let me tell you, I am highly punctual person who has been wearing handwatch since I was in grade 6. (it must give you a perspective on how hard it was for me to give up on handwatch) But then I met an interesting man in Europe who told me the story of how time worn on hands (his way of saying handwatch) affects people’s natural aura, how people set time on themselves - I found this thought extremely profound and decided to give up on wearing time on my hand. However, I must say that this decision did not bring me any good during those 5 months I was late more times that I was late in my entire life. I felt that I missed something and now I understand that it was my handtime- so I am back to my handwatch with no regrets what so ever. Though, it’s a great opportunity to update my watch collection with one new piece.
For the past month I have been obsessed with this cool yet not over-popularized trend of white plastic/ceramic/men watches. In my search for the prefect watch, I went straight to ToyWatch website where I was pleasantly surprised with their great collections of watches just in right shapes and colors and prices. And of cause there must be a BUT and there was one huge BUT. There did not deliver to Canada – I thought then I’d stay enthusiastic and check out the proposed retailer points. Again, me being slightly naive. When I went to couple of the places where they supposedly have to have ToyWatch, all I got were those idiotic looks saying :”Hmmm ToyWatch? Maybe you should try ToyRus instead?” And then I gave up on ToyWatch… I am rather sad because I am absolutely in love with their purple plasteramics.
Then I had that eighties fever and started obsessing about Timex digital watches. Timex80 is the last season’s brand’s update which features metal and plastic digital watches in amazing colors! I don’t know how is that I was not aware of that cool collection before. Nevertheless, I found almost perfect (to me) substitution for ToyWatch – Timex80 Indiglo white metal digital watch! And oh boy, they look great! My strategy to get them? Is of cause eshopping. To my huge surprise (detect sarcasm here), Timex80 website does not have shipping policies for Canada, ie no delivery here. I was devastated! In my despair moment my absolute favorite shopping portal came to my survival – net-a-porter.com is the only place where I can find everything I am looking for! There they were Timex80 white metal digital watch for only $60! I was over the moon. As a side note: quick delivery(literary 2 days) got here, in Mtl, my watch right before all the New Year parties!
Now I am back on track with my time on my hand and now my time is my new white Timex80!

The ears.
It caused controversy when Madonna wore them to the MET Gala – Luis Vuitton’s “ears”, well I see them as ear-wings actually.
After that there were couple of more people who spotted some sort of earish hair accessories.
What can I say? I like it. IT seems like a new funky trend – why do I say so? Simply because when something is being reproduced by such a mega street fashion mogul as Topshop – it becomes THE trend. Yes, Topshop now offers a headband in form of ears (they call it bunny ears) featuring three different color to match your New Year’s party outfit! I would run and grab their Bunny Ears in all three colors…only if Topshop existed in Canada… (Luckily I have connection in Moscow, so if I need something really badly, I can get it in Moscow)
PS: lately I have a total obsession with Topshop – it’s genius.

We all hate those crazy emails sent to your inbox by all these spammers – but do sometimes look at least quickly over the titles of those potentially boring (or even incoherent) emails. I’ve found out just recently that I subscribed to one amazing service offered by sweetspot company. Their emails turned out to be highly interesting and entertaining, and informative! (I love this combination)
I learned from their emails that Canadian designer (who is better known for his perfumes than for his apparel) is collaborating with Zellers. The results are not that bad -it’s Zellers after all: all the classics – black cashmere blend cardigans, white shirts, lots of variants of silkish tops and couple of suits.
I went to check the collection in the closest Zellers – I would say that the quality is better that the regular stuff they sell at this store. The best two pieces of this entire collection are the jeweled necklace and their “jacket d’ecolier”. Could not resist – I got them both… jacket was only $10 – it was on sale, I found it amusing that the only thing worth spending my money for was actually on sale – it does not usually happen that often!
But now I am thinking that I had to pick up one of their boyfriend blazers as well! And I think I will stop by that store tomorrow to get my hand on that tailored blazer – it’s only $39! Can’t miss!
Go Zellers Go!

TELETYPE: Sonia Rykiel for H&M update
Only week away from official launch of Sonia Rykiel for H&M lingerie collection in 1500 stores across the globe (as well as in some Sonia Rykiel boutiques: New York, Milan, London, Brussels, Luxembourg, Hong-Kong, Monaco) but there are still no official updates about this collection on H&M’s website. No reason to panic – Rykielles blog posted couple of more ad compaigne pictures – now I think I know which pieces I need to purchase.
Since this collection is not limited edition (in some sense it still is though) I will not even bother myself with early wake-ups, let it be as it meant to be!
PS: Alert – great (money- and style-wise) opportunity to get THE best Christmas gifts for important ladies in your life. So don’t miss on this one!
PPS: please check the pictures at Rykielles blog – they worth it!

And back again to Jimmy Choo for H&M
Today I understood how important it is to have great friends and just amazing people around you!
When I came this morning to get my spot in the lining up for the Jimmy Choo collection at my local H&M store, I never expected this many people! I was there early (I thought so before I actually saw the line) – by 7.30am, considering my peculiar life style, it’s insanely early!
And there I was… a mug of hot tea in one hand and my JM purse in another hit by the craziness ruled around the stored! I could see other people’s pity for me when I was making my triumphant walk to the back of the line! But I did not give up, I asked the girls in front of me to safe me a spot in the line (yes, I can be pretty nice to other people, especially girls when I want to) and went straight to the front of the line with only one thought in my mind – let my friend be there in the front, may be even the first in line! And there he was – THE FIRST IN LINE!
There is no words which can describe my excitement because at least there was that hope that he’d gotten me something from that store! (I was sure that with my position in THAT line there was no chance I made it in the first 160 people, later turned out that the stuff run out of bracelets on the girls in front of me in line).
And C. (that’s my friend and the first person in line in Montreal!) was soo amazing and kind not only to me but to another friend of mine to grab clutches and shoes for us, and everything fitted so nicely – just PERFECT, always keep in mind that we did not even had bracelets and did not line up at all!!!
I am the proud owner of gray ankle boot and cheetah clutch and studded belt! (and I confess a man’s collection white t-shirt – couldn’t resist!)
Sonia Rykiel
I think that all this buzz which the upcoming Jimmy Choo for H&M collaboration has created in the mass population of the entire planet overshadowed another H&M alliance with a designer whose collection I rate even higher in my priority list that Jimmy Choo (which starts btw tomorrow, ladies, it’s an early wake-up call). Yes, I talk about that Christmas present from H&M and lovely Sonia Rykeil. The line of exclusive lengirier launches on December 5th worldwide and promisses to be fantastic! I have couple of images for to prove my point:
We shoul’d not be worring about the price tag – always keep in mind that it’s H&M after all (however I must confess that Jimmy Choo’s price range is indeed way out normal for such a street fashion mogul as H&M).
After Christmas Sonia Rykeil also presents its winter collection for the Swedish brand which will include iconic sweaters, scarves and hopefully much more of all that we expect from Sonia.

Stella McCartney for Gap
I guess it’s not a hot-just-out news that another European designer created a collection for American Gap. I like that this time it’s not all about adults, there must be justice in the world.
Well, if you are one of those people who dress up their kiddies in head-to-toes designers. But financial crisis had its consequences on your budget then this is the prefect occasion for you! Stella will help. Mrs McCartney had put her hands on the Gap’s kids and babies line this fall, so that your kids can look just as good as you do wearing your designer cloths.
Don’t have kids? Love Stella McCartney? Well, then you must be pretty petite to be able to wear all these tiny cashmere dresses and wool coats! But give it a try, some of her designs come in quite big sizes…
Personal choice? hhmmm I’d go with that great gray with leopard print cashmere sweater-dress…just lovely!
Ps: don’t worry about the prices – it’s Gap after all!
PPS: bad news the collection is only available in USA, Canada, Great Britain, France and Japan.
