They look cool and yet they are not permanent! You can experiment and have fun with those  temporary tattoos by Chanel. I think I’ll have to run to the nearest Holt and Renfrew with hope that I can get one of those trompe l’oeil which, in fact, retail for $75!

Love Story. Objects of Desire: Louis Vuitton speedy 30.

I must confess that for the past couple of years I was honestly trying to convince myself that Louis Vuitton’s speedy 30 bag is too sketchy and way too cliche and that there were absolutely no way I should get it!
I resisted 2 years and now I feel like I’m loosing it again for this bag. There is nothing special about this bag. And yes I know that almost every celebrity (even self proclaimed ones) out there has it, may be in different colors.
I can’t do much about my obsession. I just love everything about this bag! I love its shape, its color, its spaciousness and its unstoppable trendiness.
I remember two years ago I was on the verge of buying speedy 30, even went to the store and had pictures taken of different sizes and different colors of it. But at the same time Mulberry had its collaboration with Julie Verhoeven  and I had finally fallen for their bag with cool appliques. Then there were Badgley&Mischka, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Burberry and no Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton speedy 30
Every time I see this bag, I can’t stop to blame myself for even thinking about getting this bag bag BUT I love it! You know how it feels when you love something, it’s just flawless in your eyes no matter how the thing/person looks in the real world and what others think about him/her/it! That’s exactly what happens to me.
Now I have this strong commitment to speedy 30 and it is the next bag in which I will invest without even blinking! And will have to teach my consciousness to love this bag as well and stop torchuring me!

PS: that was my St Valentine’s love story… Everyone has its own hidden desires and passions so don’t let others to prevent you from being happy! Cheers

TELETYPE: Sonia Rykiel for H&M update

Teletype

Only week away from official launch of  Sonia Rykiel for H&M lingerie collection in 1500 stores across the globe (as well as  in some Sonia Rykiel boutiques: New York, Milan, London, Brussels, Luxembourg, Hong-Kong, Monaco) but there are still no official updates about this collection on H&M’s website. No reason to panic – Rykielles blog posted couple of more ad compaigne pictures – now I think I know which pieces I need to purchase.

Since this collection is not limited edition (in some sense it still is though) I will not even bother myself with early wake-ups, let it be as it meant to be!

PS: Alert – great (money- and style-wise) opportunity to get THE best Christmas gifts for important ladies in your life. So don’t miss on this one!

PPS: please check the pictures at Rykielles blog – they worth it!

And back again to Jimmy Choo for H&M

Jimmy Choo for H&M green bracelet

Today I understood how important it is to have great friends and just amazing people around you!

When I came this morning to get my spot in the lining up for the Jimmy Choo collection at my local H&M store, I never expected this many people! I was there early (I thought so before I actually saw the line) – by 7.30am, considering my peculiar life style, it’s insanely early!

And there I was… a mug of hot tea in one hand and my JM purse in another hit by the craziness ruled around the stored! I could see other people’s pity for me when I was making my triumphant walk to the back of the line! But I did not give up, I asked the girls in front of me to safe me a spot in the line (yes, I can be pretty nice to other people, especially girls when I want to) and went straight to the front of the line with only one thought in my mind – let my friend be there in the front, may be even the first in line! And there he was – THE FIRST IN LINE!

There is no words which can describe my excitement because at least there was that hope that he’d gotten me something from that store! (I was sure that with my position in THAT line there was no chance I made it in the first 160 people, later turned out that the stuff run out of bracelets on the girls in front of me in line).

And C. (that’s my friend and the first person in line in Montreal!) was soo amazing and kind not only to me but to another friend of mine to grab clutches and shoes for us, and everything fitted so nicely – just PERFECT, always keep in mind that we did not even had bracelets and did not line up at all!!!

I am the proud owner of gray ankle boot and cheetah clutch and studded belt! (and I confess a man’s collection white t-shirt – couldn’t resist!)

even my dog couldn't take his eyes off me!

Neutrogena Wave Duo

Neutrogena Wave Duo By my early twenties I have already come to a conclusion that the beauty products are the last things on which I can economize! I love L’Occitane honey and milk scrub, Shiseido wet clothes – they come in handy when I travel or go out and can’t carry a full bottle of toner. What else? I can’t live without a bottle of Caudalie’s grape water- it’s great in early mornings when I need a wake-up call or when I travel South, meaning the sun exposure. And of cause, Complexe aux Résines Tropicales combined with Soin Teinté Phyto-Hydratant (all by Sisley Cosmetics) as a daily moisturizer and “foundation”(which is, in fact, a moisturizer as well only with a hint of color). I admit that all these products are not cheap (some of which are far way from being even moderately priced!) – but what can I do! I am picky and want the best for my skin!

However, I was pleasantly surprised on my last trip to the near grocery store when I treasured an amazing product out of the cosmetics isle! I must say thanks to my mum (yes, she is my steady companion to that store!) because it was her who pointed to this novelty to me. So – thank you, mum!

Neutrogena is one of the few “grocery-store” cosmetics that I still rate. Now to the product itself – it’s called Neutrogena Wave Duo. This is some sort of a machine with exfoliating pads. It’s got 2 speeds – one for everyday use, the other one (higher speed) is for the more intense level of cleansing. The appareil is small and very easy in use. The price is great ~ $17 plus extra pad refills for ~ $15. I don’t know if it will last too long but it’s a great change to my nightly routine! I am quietly lazy, so now on, all the work will be done by “power-cleanser”!

Object of Desire: Alexander McQueen for Puma

A. McQueen for Puma Ribcage Sport

I am glad to announce the newest so far collaboration that  actually drives my interest and is worth mentioning!

The new fall collection of the sportswear brand Puma features the running shoes designed by Alexander McQueen. So far there are only two models which have been released to public! Since then the stir that they produced in the net around the globe can be hardly described. I bet that they are going to sell off in milliseconds but the rumor has it that the shoes have already been sold out via the pre-order in hours after their reveal! Well, I still believe that they will hit the shelves (may be not for a long time but they will!)and I will be one of the proud owners of McQueen’s Pumas for $251-276 a pair! Cheers!

Object of Desire: Solange Azagury-Partridge’s jewelry

Solange Azagury-Partridge Promo

While I am on tough budget right now I could not resist and not to mention this sassy and funky British jeweler whose designs are as pricey as they can possibly get!

I found out about this designer while I was going through one of my multiple issues of Vogue magazine. There was a picture from her latest ad campaign displaying adorable rings of which the most brilliant was the lips-shaped red enamel ring. What I always do when I need more info on something new what I’ve just found out is of cause is that I immediately google it! And so I did. Solange Azagury-Partridge is British jewelry designer with quiet edgy style. She’s got some cute things – like those “live” bangles and necklaces from “filigree” collection, but most of her styles are pretty Goth and dark with a slight touch of humor – for example croc skull rings.

As highlight: my all favorites are the red enamel silver rings (which come in 10 different colors – from dark purple to bright yellow), the chandelier earrings “Xanadu” from her “Black Rainbows” collection made from Titanium and colored diamonds as well as her cure little bone 18K gold rings from “Random” collection.

All these are just a few picks from her wide range of jewelry which worth going through. I am quite sure that everyone will find an original and exquisite piece made just for you!

Object of desire: Rodarte school supplies!

Rodarte Pencil Case

Rodarte, this fashion label duet has great surprise for those who look for some stylish school supplies. They have created a signature pencil case with lovely  (and quiet well known) sketches on it. These uberfashionable cases were designed based on the portraits made by fashion photographer Cecil Beaton. Another great feature is that pencil cases already contain everything what is needed: pencils and erasers! So, if you’re planing on going to New York  or if it happens that you live there, don’t wait long and check them out in Opening Ceremony boutique, 35 Howard Street, NYC.

Object of desire: September ‘09

Pigalle 100 studded pumps Louboutin

I think that this Louboutin’s Pigalle 100 studded pumps are the best so far! These shoes are made to be worn this fall combining all the hottest trends – color, texture and model! The gold studs update to the classical Louboutin’s model is perfect to add harder edge to simple skinny jeans or LBD oi should I say to absolutely anything!!! The heel is reasonable – around 4inches. I must say that if you want to get your hands on them then be prepared to fight other fashionistas in stores (and I seriously doubt that there is still left any) or to put your name on the waiting list – on net-a-porter.com they had been sold out in couple of hours. And all this for just a little bit under $1000, and precisely for $995 which is not shoes’ best aspect. So, if u have patience and budget then it’s time to invest!!! Worth every penny!

Pierre Hardy for GAP

Pierre Hardy for Gap 2009

I’m glad to announce yet another collaboration of the French shoes (and bags) designer, Pierre Hardy and American clothing line, Gap. With the successful previous collections in mind I have great expectations. This time, we are expecting suede ankle boots with high heels and platform. There will be slight variations of the main theme: diverse colors and slightly different models. I think these shoes will be good addition to my fall wardrobe! The collection will  be available in mid September in Gap stores across the globe.
