Teletype: PHI goodbye…

Teletype

Sad news, it’s been announced that fashion brand PHI (founded only in 2003) will no longer exist staring this spring. I just started to notice it this fall and thought that it might be worth spending that much money of their structural dresses. Recession is not over and we only start seeing its effects on our industry. Once more, it’s sad.

TELETYPE: Sonia Rykiel for H&M update

Teletype

Only week away from official launch of  Sonia Rykiel for H&M lingerie collection in 1500 stores across the globe (as well as  in some Sonia Rykiel boutiques: New York, Milan, London, Brussels, Luxembourg, Hong-Kong, Monaco) but there are still no official updates about this collection on H&M’s website. No reason to panic – Rykielles blog posted couple of more ad compaigne pictures – now I think I know which pieces I need to purchase.

Since this collection is not limited edition (in some sense it still is though) I will not even bother myself with early wake-ups, let it be as it meant to be!

PS: Alert – great (money- and style-wise) opportunity to get THE best Christmas gifts for important ladies in your life. So don’t miss on this one!

PPS: please check the pictures at Rykielles blog – they worth it!

Teletype: Jean Paul Gaultier for Target.

Teletype

Now it’ official Jean Paul Gaultier is making a capsule collection for the American Target. I can’t say that it was unexpected (there rumors were out there for quite a long time now) but I still think that it’s a great surprise that JPG has decided to collaborate with Target (note that he did not work with the Swedish clothing brand H&M).

This collection will hit the shelves on March 7th and will be available only in 250 Target stores in USA.

Despite the fact that Gaultier is not going to bring back alive his iConic bras and fishnet tights (so adored by Madonna back in 80-ies), the upcoming collection will certainly make up for the Target clothing range and most probably even drive new fashion-aware customers to the 250 selected stores this spring!

Who knows who’s going to be the face for the ad campaign – Kate Perry maybe? or Rihanna? We’ll see in couple of months.
